DOUX - Sweet
Produced by the Methode Ancestrale dating back to the Monks at the Abbey de St. Hilaire in the 16th century. This is reputedly the oldest sparkling wine in France. It is naturally sweet and only 6% alcohol. With no added sugars the sweetness comes from 100% Mauzac grapes which are unique to this region of France. Traditionally bottled at the full moon in March, with the second fermentation taking place as the warmer weather arrives.
Rich aromas of apples and pears.
